What we did
Megan Karnish left a career in HR to launch Dash & Pinch, a culinary blog of elevated comfort classics. Every off-the-shelf recipe theme she tried made her work look like everyone else's, and the ones that did not were slower than a reader on a kitchen counter will tolerate.
We built the platform instead of buying it. A custom recipe model holds ingredients, timings, yields and steps as structured data, which means one entry renders the card, the print view and the recipe schema search engines read — with no duplicate typing and no drift between the three.
The identity was drawn from scratch alongside it: her own palette and typefaces, sized so a recipe stays legible on a phone propped against a chopping board.
