What we did
For a production studio the website is the showreel, and every element that sits between a commissioning client and the work is a reason for them to leave. Peparini's old site asked for an email address before it would show anything.
We removed the gate. Video is the page itself rather than something linked from it: reels autoplay muted on arrival, the interface strips back to nothing but the frame, and the credit list sits under the work rather than in a separate section nobody reaches.
Heavy media on a portfolio usually means a slow site. We held performance with poster frames, lazy sources and a single decode path, so the first reel is moving before the rest of the page has finished loading.
